Tributes have been paid to a British pilot nicknamed "Little Mike" after he died in a glider crash in Spain. Mike Evans, 75, crashed into trees as he landed at the Santa Cilia aerodrome in the Pyrenees. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but Evans lost consciousness and went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead. The aerodrome director confirmed that witnesses were with him when he passed away. Evans had a passion for gliding and had been a regular at the Spanish aerodrome since 1999. An investigation into the accident is underway.
