Former America's Got Talent star Jane 'Nightbirde' Marczewski passed away at age 31 following a four-year-long battle with cancer. Marczewski had amazed judges and viewers with her original song, It's Okay, earning a Golden Buzzer in June 2021, which propelled her to the competition's quarterfinals. However, she had to withdraw from the show in August, citing her deteriorating health due to cancer's return.
Marczewski had previously been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and was deemed in remission until it returned in a metastatic state. She actively worked on her music and was a volunteer worker, sharing her faith with and helping disadvantaged youth. Her family and AGT teammates remember her wit, humor, and "larger-than-life personality" and have set up a GoFundMe campaign in her memory.
