In 2009, Mike Kroening lost his wedding band while playing with his children in a lake in Wisconsin. Despite searching extensively, the ring couldn't be found. Fast forward 14 years, someone turned in the ring to the association's lost and found. Kroening, upon seeing a picture of the ring on Facebook, immediately claimed it by describing the inscription on it. The ring was returned to him, and he happily put it back on his finger after all those years.
